FAQs

Is financial aid available for students of Mercer’s accelerated second-degree BSN track?

When you connect with your enrollment counselor, you will map out a plan financially for the ABSN track, as well as review funding options available to nursing students. Your enrollment counselor can help you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the first step toward determining your eligibility for financial aid.

Can I work during the ABSN track?

We understand that some students may have a financial need to work while in the program; however, we do not recommend working while in our accelerated BSN track. With 21–22 credit hours of study each semester, Mercer’s ABSN track is similar to working a full-time job. When speaking with your enrollment counselor, be sure to let them know of any financial concerns you have.

What are my scholarship options as an ABSN student?

Mercer’s ABSN track is a self-funded program. It is important to plan your financing options for the entire length of the program. The following are financing options for you to consider:
• Federal Student Aid
• HRSA Nursing Student Loan
• State Aid for Georgia Residents
• Outside Scholarships
• Private Loans
• Payment Plans
